Deadpool 3

It’s a mutant mayhem! Deadpool & Wolverine teaser debuts during the Super Bowl!

Get ready for an epic superhero showdown as Marvel Studios prepares to bring Deadpool & Wolverine to the big screen!

This upcoming American superhero film, set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), promises to be a thrilling sequel to the beloved Deadpool (2016) and Deadpool 2 (2018) movies.

With a star-studded cast and an all-star creative team behind the scenes, fans can expect an action-packed adventure like never before.

Development on the highly anticipated Deadpool & Wolverine film began back in November 2016 at 20th Century Fox. However, after Disney’s acquisition of the studio in March 2019, the project was put on hold. Fortunately, control of the character was transferred to Marvel Studios, igniting excitement among fans as a new film was confirmed to be in the works.

Deadpool & Wolverine Creative Team and Cast

The film is being directed by Shawn Levy and features a script penned by the talented writing team of Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, Zeb Wells, Ryan Reynolds, and Levy himself.

As anticipated, leading the cast is Ryan Reynolds reprising his role as the irreverent Wade Wilson/Deadpool, alongside Hugh Jackman returning as the iconic Wolverine. Joining them are Morena Baccarin, Brianna Hildebrand, and Jennifer Garner, promising an ensemble of stellar performances.

Storyline and Integration with the MCU

Deadpool & Wolverine is set to integrate Deadpool into the Marvel Cinematic Universe while maintaining the R-rating that fans have come to love from the previous films. This marks a significant milestone as the first MCU film to carry such a rating, ensuring that the irreverent humor and action-packed scenes characteristic of Deadpool’s adventures remain intact.

Deadpool & Wolverine Filming Details

Filming for Deadpool & Wolverine commenced in May, with principal photography taking place at Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire, England. Additional filming locations included Norfolk and Bovingdon Film Studios. However, production faced a temporary setback when filming was suspended in July due to the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike. Fortunately, filming resumed in late November following the strike’s conclusion, wrapping up in late January 2024.
