Bilal: A New Breed of Hero (2015) is an English-language Emirati 3D animated action-adventure film co-directed by Khurram H. Alavi and Ayman Jamal, produced by Barajoun Entertainment.

The story follows Bilal, who endures slavery and oppression in Mecca until he discovers faith and leads a movement for justice. Born into a peaceful family, Bilal’s life takes a drastic turn when Byzantine soldiers attack, killing his mother and enslaving him and his sister Ghufaira.

Sold to the wealthy Umayyah, Bilal endures abuse and cruelty until he encounters Abu Bakr, a man who sees greatness in him. Influenced by Abu Bakr’s beliefs, Bilal begins to question the oppressive system in Mecca. As Bilal faces relentless persecution for his newfound beliefs, including torture and imprisonment, he finds strength and courage to resist.

With the help of friends like Hamza and divine intervention during battles against the Qurayshi Meccans, Bilal becomes a symbol of hope for the oppressed. The film culminates in Bilal’s confrontation with Safwan during the conquest of Mecca, where he delivers a powerful message of forgiveness and reconciliation, inspiring change and unity in the face of adversity.Download Report
