Harvie Krumpet follows Harvie, born in 1922 in Poland to a mother who talks to invisible people. Despite a tough childhood marked by stuttering and teasing, he finds comfort in quirky facts and poking people on the nose. After a tragic loss and fleeing the German invasion, Harvie moves to Australia. There, he learns English through TV, struggles with jobs, and faces isolation.

He eventually finds love with Valory and adopts a limbless girl named Ruby. In his later years, after enduring more losses, Harvie befriends Hamish, a recluse with Alzheimer’s. The film showcases the resilience of the human spirit, highlighting how Harvie navigates life’s challenges with humor and a unique perspective.
