Mary and Max is a stop-motion film that tells the story of Mary Daisy Dinkle, a lonely eight-year-old girl in 1970s Australia, who befriends Max Jerry Horowitz, a 44-year-old man with Asperger’s Syndrome living in New York City. Through letters, they share their struggles and joys, forming a deep bond despite their differences and distance. Mary finds solace in Max’s advice, while Max gains a supportive friend who helps him cope with his challenges.
