Shō meets Arrietty, a Borrower, and they become friends. When Arrietty’s family is discovered, Shō helps them escape from the housemaid. In return, Arrietty gives Shō courage for his upcoming heart operation. The Borrowers leave to find a new home. Shō hears rumors of Borrowers in other houses, indicating Arrietty’s continued adventures.
