Transformers: The Movie, released in 1986, features a battle between the heroic Autobots and the evil Decepticons. When the Decepticons attack Autobot City on Earth, a fierce confrontation ensues, resulting in casualties on both sides. 

The Autobots face a new threat as the planet-sized Transformer, Unicron, seeks to consume Cybertron. With Optimus Prime mortally wounded, leadership falls to Hot Rod, who must confront Unicron to save their world.
