Throughout their journey, they learn the power of friendship and the importance of standing up for what’s right in a world filled with secrets and deception.

If you are a fan of Samurai Jack or Dexters Lab, then you will be pleased to know that our next robot choice is a show that was created by the same director- Genndy Tartakovsky! In Unicorn: Warriors Eternal, the story unfolds in Industrial Revolution London, where a looming evil threatens the city’s streets.
A group of heroes known as Unicorn finds themselves unexpectedly reincarnated as teenagers, rather than in their usual adult forms.
With fragmented memories and weakened powers, they must navigate their newfound identities. included in the group is a steam-powered robot companion named Copernicus. In addition, Melinda, a sorceress, Seng, a cosmic monk, and Edred, a warrior elf, embark on a quest to uncover their pasts and confront the timeless threat facing their world.
As they piece together their history, they must learn to work together to overcome the challenges ahead.
This show was a thrill to watch, and I enjoyed the quirky robot, Copernicus, who has a gold-colored metal body, featuring lenses for eyes that glow orange, a square nose-like piece, and a top hat-shaped head.
His role in Unicorn: Warriors Eternal is as a loyal companion to the heroes, equipped with pneumatic tubes in his limbs, assisting them in their quest to unravel mysteries and defeat looming evil in Industrial Revolution London.

Big Hero 6 follows young robotics prodigy Hiro and his inflatable healthcare robot, Baymax. Together, they team up with friends to uncover the truth behind a masked villain’s plot. Set in the futuristic city of San Fransokyo, the group battles against evil forces using their inventive gadgets and bravery.
As Hiro seeks justice for his brother’s death, he learns valuable lessons about friendship, heroism, and the importance of helping others. With thrilling action and heartfelt moments, Big Hero 6 delivers an inspiring tale of courage and teamwork in the face of adversity.

I found this new robot movie to be really funny. Barney and Ron have a lot of fun moments together, like when Ron tries to find Barney more friends and ends up bringing random people to Barney’s school to be his friend. I thoroughly enjoyed this robot movie!

This next new robot movie happens to be my all-time favorite movie at this time. Robot Dreams follows the tale of a dog and a robot forming an unlikely friendship in 1980s Manhattan.
The robot, assembled by the dog after ordering it from an advertisement, becomes his loyal companion as they explore the city together. However, their bond is tested when the robot faces challenges, leading to a series of heartbreaking events and fantastical dreams.
Throughout the film, the robot remains happy and resilient despite the hardships he has gone through.

With that said, its wonderful and emotional storytelling is most likely the reason behind why it won the 2023 Annie Awards for Best Independent Feature.

The next new robot movie on the list was released in theaters in the US on May 3, 2024. Mars Express is a futuristic sci-fi mystery set on the red planet in the 23rd century.

Upcoming New Robot Movies
The next two new robot movies have yet to be released. So, be on the lookout for Transformers One and The Wild Robot this September.
Moving along in our list, Transformers One will take you back to the planet Cybertron, where an epic origin story unfolds.

And, for the last new robot movie on this list- The Wild Robot. I am eager to watch this nature-inspired robot movie. The Wild Robot follows the adventures of Roz, a robot who finds herself stranded on a remote and wild island.
Voiced by Lupita Nyong’o, Roz must adapt to her new surroundings and learn to survive in the untamed wilderness.
Along the way, she encounters various animals who inhabit the island, forming unexpected friendships and facing numerous challenges together.
With Pedro Pascal, Kit Connor, and other talented actors lending their voices to the diverse cast of characters, the film promises a heartwarming tale of resilience, friendship, and the power of adaptation.
Watching the trailer, set to Louis Armstrong’s “What a Wonderful World,” gave me chills. The movie seems to blend the solitude of Wall-E with the adventure and nature themes of Tarzan.
It’s worth noting that this robot film comes from the creators of How to Train Your Dragon. And if you have seen How to Train Your Dragon or any of the sequels, then I am sure the visuals will be just as stunning, if not more.
Directed by Chris Sanders and produced by DreamWorks Animation, The Wild Robot is set to be released in theaters on September 27, 2024.
