After the success of Season 1 in 2021 and season 2 in 2022, fans have been eagerly anticipating the return of their favorite Hanna-Barbera characters like Yogi Bear, Boo Boo, Snaglepuss, Jabberjaw, Cindy Bear and so much more! Jellystone! is a lively animated comedy series that brings back to life the beloved Hanna-Barbera characters, offering a modernized take on their adventures in the town of Jellystone.
The show follows the antics of characters like Yogi Bear, Huckleberry Hound, and many more, as they navigate life, work, and play in their quirky community. Each character has their own unique role, from Mayor Huckleberry Hound to surgeon Yogi Bear.
Season 3 introduces the rival town of New Bedrock, led by Mayor Dick Dastardly and Muttley, creating new challenges and dynamics for the Jellystone residents to navigate. With its blend of humor, nostalgia, and fresh storytelling, Jellystone! continues to captivate audiences with its imaginative world and beloved characters.
My Take
So far, I have been really enjoying the season. In the first episode of season 3, we meet the Jetsons as the Jellystone characters, willingly or unwillingly, travel to the future to save the town from rouge Rosie robots.
There are so many fun gag scenes- I particularly enjoyed Mayor Huckleberyy Hound’s singing bouts and musical numbers and the other characters amusing thoughts on his singing.
To summarize, Boo Boo becomes very clingy in the future while Doggy Daddy just floats around in the past!
I thought this debut episode was very funny and entertaining, as with the episodes that come after.
